今年、シングルマザーズシスターフッドは設立５周年を迎えました。この節目の年にあたり、この４年の間にエッセイを執筆してくれたシングルマザーたちを再訪し、彼女たちの「その後」に耳を傾けるスペシャルインタビューを実施しました。 ５周年インタビューシリーズ８回目となる今回の執筆者は、2024年の冬、ちょうど昨年の今ごろにエッセイを執筆してくれたロミイさん。とても正直で、勢いのある文章は、多くの読者の心を掴みました。 執筆する際は、それっぽくきれいにまとめるのではなく、自分の中にある激しい部分、破滅的な部分も肯定して、本当の自分を表現することにこだわって、何度も書き直しを重ねたそうです。 必死で駆け抜けてきた半生を振り返り、自分を覆う殻を全部剥き切るつもりで言葉を紡いだと言うロミイさんは、今どんな心境にあるのでしょうか？ぜひインタビューをご覧ください。

This year, Single Mothers’ Sisterhood is celebrating its 5th anniversary. To mark this milestone, we did a series of special interviews with single mothers who wrote essays for our past campaigns, and listened to “what happened next” in their lives. In this sixth interview, we meet Icchi, who has written two essays for us. In them, she shared her inner struggles and also her decision to keep moving forward. We asked her about the changes she has undergone through writing.

今年、シングルマザーズシスターフッドは設立５周年を迎えました。この節目の年にあたり、この４年の間にエッセイを執筆してくれたシングルマザーたちを再訪し、彼女たちの「その後」に耳を傾けるスペシャルインタビューを実施しました。 ５周年インタビューシリーズ７回目の今回は、これまで２回に渡ってエッセイを執筆してくれた、かおさんが登場。 最初のエッセイでは、娘さんの不登校に直面し、「自分の何がいけなかったのか」と自らを責め、暗闇の中にいた当時の苦しい胸の内を吐露していました。 次のエッセイでは、母娘で移住を決断したときのこと、ランニングを通じて娘との間に「無くてはならない一本の線」を引き、お互いの道を尊重し始めるまでの心の変化を綴っています。 今回のインタビューでは、衝撃的な出来事として、娘さんの自傷行為に向き合ったこと、その出来事を経て、どのようにして「娘のそのまま、自分のそのまま」を受け入れられるようになったのか、その深い軌跡をじっくりと伺いました。

In this fifth interview, we speak with Shinobu Koizumi, who has contributed six essays over the years, sharing her inner thoughts and everyday struggles. We talked about how writing helped her notice changes within herself, the new paths that opened from there, and the future she now wants to cherish.

This spring marks the 5th anniversary of the Single Mothers’ Sisterhood’s Mother’s Day Campaign. To celebrate this milestone, we’re revisiting the voices of women who have contributed essays over the years. In this special interview series, we catch up with them to hear where life has taken them since. Our third guest is Minako Goto, who’s been part of the campaign since the very beginning. Minako believes in the power of words and listens closely to her own voice.

Mother’s Dayキャンペーン5周年にあたり、これまで8回にわたってキャンペーンでエッセイを執筆してくれたシングルマザーたちの「その後」に耳を傾けるスペシャルインタビュー。企画第4弾では、キャンペーン立ち上げ時から参加し、4年で7本ものエッセイを寄稿してくれたHaruさんが登場。執筆を通じて得た気づきや変化、支援の役割、そしてこれからの思いを伺いました。 1. 過去に執筆したエッセイを今読み返してみて、どんな思いが湧いてきますか？ 「よくこれほど書いたなあ」というのが最初の気持ちでした。 キャンペーンにはじめて参加したときは3歳だった息子も、今は 7歳。 どのエッセイにも息子の成長を記録する気持ちで書いていたので、当時の姿が浮かび、「すっかり大きくなったなあ」としみじみとした気持ちになります。 育児に追われながら時間をつくって、当時の自分なりの言葉で書き残した。そのがんばりに「ありがとう」と言いたくなりました。 どのエッセイも、校正を担当してくれた仲間と丁寧にやりとりしながら作ったもので、だからこそひとつひとつが愛おしいです。

Our second spotlight is on Junko Sato, who has written three essays for the campaign. A solo mother by choice, Junko has raised her daughter while working full-time and overcoming breast cancer surgery. Along the way, she and her daughter have also faced social prejudice related to her daughter’s appearance—yet together, they have kept moving forward.
